UK based Birmingham Crane Hire (BCHC) has taken delivery of a new 90 tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 All Terrain.
The four axle crane features a seven section 60 metre main boom, it can also be equipped with an optional 9.5 to 16 metre swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of almost 80 metres. BCHC has ordered the crane with the VarioBase variable outrigger set up, full remote control system and the refinery kit.
Managing director Mark Weatherson said: “When the time came to look for a new 90 tonne crane, The LTM 1090-4.2 stood out from the competition. With its 60 metre boom, excellent duties and all round versatility I’ve no doubt that this latest Liebherr will prove as popular with our clients as the other Liebherr models already within our fleet.”
BCHC was established in 1981 by James, David and Alastair Weatherson, since then it has grown into one of the leading crane rental companies in the Midlands, while claiming to run the second largest fleet of mobile self-erecting tower cranes in the UK.
