The man, reportedly in his 30s, was working from an Altec digger derrick owned by Concurrent, which we assume was his employer. It seems that he was working with several other teams and was preparing to use his machine as a crane, he elevated the boom which contacted the power lines causing the power to run through the truck. According to witnesses the man fell to the ground from the control station and caught fire. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The following video news report shows the full scene.
