BMS and Jalo & Jalo form JV

Danish international crane and aerial lift rental company BMS has formed a Joint Venture with Finnish truck mounted lift rental company Jalo & Jalo.
The new jointly held company JaloBMS will target the growing demand for large truck mounted lifts from the mobile telecoms and wind turbine markets.

The venture does not involve any changes to the financial structure or ownership of either company. The joint venture will promote their combined fleet and services and can call on more than 100 truck mounted platforms with working heights from 30 to 104 metres, while offering customers a more extensive geographic coverage. The aim is to provide the wind power and mobile telephony markets with an international service that will be tough to compete with.

Sami Jalo will be the chief executive of the Joint Venture, while Jens Enggaard of BMS takes on the role of chairman. The new venture will initially focus on the Nordic region, covering Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland where the two partners already have a very strong presence with more than 40 locations between them.

“Our goal is, in the long run, to offer markets such as the Northern European telecoms sector with delivery reliability through our combined volume and expertise. We are also looking at clients working on high voltage powerlines and another important business areas. JaloBMS will initially focus on such markets in Scandinavia and Finland, where they already stand strong, but will also take on projects outside these countries.”
