COO for Nordic Crane Heavy Lift

Nordic regional rental company Nordic Crane has appointed Paul Karlsen as chief operating officer of its heavy lift division.

He joins the company almost two years since his departure from heavy lift company ALE, following its acquisition by Mammoet in 2020. In the interim he spent almost a year as sales manager for lighting company Egil Verne, followed by a good few months looking for a new challenge within the crane industry.

Paul Karlson

Karlson started his working life as a platoon commander in the Norwegian Army and moved into sales in 1994, initially in the transport industry, and became involved with equipment sales when he joined Felleskjøpet Agri in 2003 as a salesman for John Deere products. In 2009 He moved to Deutz-Fahr dealer NT Maskin as a manager and entered the heavy lift industry in 2011 when he joined Sarens as a key account manager. After five years with the Belgian crane company he made the move to ALE as regional manager Scandinavia.
