Indian sub-continent move for Platform Basket

Italian spider lift and mast boom manufacturer Platform Basket has appointed Nexa Global Infra Solutions as its sales agent for India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

Nexa is a startup company based in Mumbai and owned by Anirban Ghosh who was a regional manager for JLG India for almost 11 years, leaving at the end of 2022.

He began his career in 1997 in sales and marketing roles with companies importing testing and production equipment, before joining Roop Telsonic Ultrasonix as sales manager in 1999. In 2007 he moved to Hilti India as a sector manager for railways, defence and ports, before being promoted to regional business development manager. After five years with Hilti, he left to join JLG as a regional manager.

Platform Basket said: "We warmly welcome Anirban and his cooperation inside our group. Having been in this market sector for a long time, he will bring his knowledge for assisting customers and focusing on the extensive Platform Basket product range. We wish him a great success."

Ghosh added: "I am excited to start this new relationship with Platform Basket, representing them in India & SAARC countries. I believe that the company has the market leading spider lift product portfolio from 13 to 43 metres working height, also they have recently launched the Heron 10 tracked mast boom. The company has also developed a range of rail mounted boom lifts from nine to 19 metres that will facilitate more efficient maintenance, inspection and repair work on the rail network, providing us with further solutions for India's growing urban rail transit system."
