Sinoboom names director for Brazil

Chinese aerial lift manufacturer Sinoboom has appointed Marcelo Yamane as business development director for Brazil.

In the newly created role, he will have responsibility for regional team building, the formulation and implementation of regional strategies and sales targets, key account development, and the building of the Sinoboom brand in Brazil. He reports to overseas sales and marketing director Dawei He.

Yamane joins the company after six years with generator and temporary lighting rental company Tecnogera, where he was chief operator officer. He began his career in 1998 with Otis elevators, starting out as a field engineering superintendent, becoming a field operations manager, before leaving to join rental company Mills as technical manager. In 2003 he joined mobility tech company AVL South America as service manager returning to Otis two years later as logistics, sales and contract engineering manager. In 2010 he moved back to Mills and was appointed managing director of the Rental business unit five years later. During this time, he also sat on IPAF’s Brazilian council. He made the move to Tecnogera at the start of 2017.

Speaking of his appointment he said: “I am delighted to join the Sinoboom team and anticipate great achievements for this outstanding equipment brand in the Brazilian market!”

Dawei He added: “With our intention to achieve 50 percent of our sales revenue from the international market, we are determined to continue building a strong and professional international team. Marcelo Yamane brings extensive experience and has excellent knowledge of the Brazilian market and is a strong team player.
