Reactive Rentals adds to team

Reactive Rentals has appointed Charlie Martin as national sales manager.
He will be based in Yorkshire in the north of England with responsibility to develop a local core business in the region, as well as promoting the company’s ‘big kit’ sales offering that Reactive Rentals has already started to develop from its base in the south.

He joins the company from Aspire Platforms where he has been key account manager for the past seven months. He began his access career at the start of 2017, with AFI-Uplift and was promoted to field sales executive the following year. After three years with AFI he moved to sister company AJ Access Platforms as regional sales manager. In late 2020 he joined PAL Hire as business development manager, leaving the following year for Sunbelt where he was appointed powered access specialist. He moved to Aspire earlier this year.

Speaking of his new role Charlie Martin said: “It has been great to see the growth of Reactive, but what excites me most is the future. The plans for the next 48 months are incredible, and it was simply too big an opportunity to turn down. Having worked with Steve Skeates in the past, I'm excited to work with him again along with the other directors as we forge a great future for the business."
Reactive director Steve Skeates added: "The appointment of Charlie is a vital cog in the already exciting future of the business. The last eight months have seen the business progress to almost 250 percent of our first year’s budget and bringing Charlie onboard will dramatically accelerate our three year plan to expand our physical footprint beyond West London".

Reactive was set up at the end of last year and began trading in January, offering big boom lifts from a location on the west side of Greater London. The company is led by Steve Skeates who was previously country manager with Riwal UK. He began his career in access in 2003 as an account manager with Hewden, moving to Speedy in 2005 and AFI in late 2009 before starting with Riwal in 2018. He is joined by former colleagues at Riwal and AFI, James Faulkner, director, general manager Kate Yates and director Gary Specht.
