MEC adds to sales team

US manufacturer MEC Aerial Work Platforms has appointed Jay Lucyk as regional sales manager Canada. In his new role he will be responsible for establishing strategic partnerships and expanding the company’s sales by taking advantage of new opportunities throughout the Canadian market.

He joins the company from JCB where he has been a regional sales manager direct sales in Canada since mid-2019. He began his career in 1999 as a recovery manager with John Deere Credit, leaving after 10 years in the job for a similar role with Caterpillar Financial. A year and a half later he moved to Iron Planet as a territory manager, the company merged with CAT Auctions in 2014 when Lucyk became territory manager for Ontario. In 2017 he moved to a similar job at DT Tire, joining JCB just over a year later.
