Australian rental company Handy Hire has placed a “substantial order” with Haulotte. The order includes 12 of the latest versions of the 32ft Compact 12 slab electric scissor lift and 12 of the 20ft Optimum 8 slab electrics. The new Compacts were unveiled in Australia last June, with the first shipments arriving in mid January..

The new Compact 12 includes Haulotte’s latest technology and is said to be considerably easier to maintain, and service with all components easily accessible, while electrical and hydraulic elements have been separated, and the routing of hoses redesigned to reduce the risk of friction and leaks.
Both models feature Haulotte’s Activ’Energy Management system which is said to improve the performance and the lifespan of the battery, while optimising the charging process.
Based in Queensland Handy Hire operates from four locations in the state, and runs a fleet of booms and scissor lifts topped by 80ft Haulotte boom lifts, along with a few trailer lifts.
