Chinese aerial lift manufacturer Sinoboom has appointed Andy McPhail as managing director for the Middle East and North Africa.
He returns to the Middle East following a brief period back in the UK working as a consultant for Smiths Hire, having been regional operations director for Rapid Access – Loxam’s business in the Gulf region since 2021.
McPhail began his crane and access career in the UK as a sales representative for rental company Hewden Stuart. Moving to the Qatar in 2009 to join regional as sales manager. He took 18 months out in 2013 to set up and run his own business - Mequip - returning to Manlift as Qatar country manager at the end of 2014. He left for Rapid Access in mid 2021.
