Sycamore Gap crane

Anyone with an interest in Roman history, and most people in the UK will be aware of the felling of an iconic sycamore/maple tree at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall in northern England.

Yesterday a crane was brought in to recover and remove the fallen tree. The crane chosen was a 10 tonne Sunward MCC 1004 telescopic crawler crane from UK distributor GGR.
