Ashtead, owner of Sunbelt Rentals in the USA, UK and Canada has appointed Roy Twite as a non-executive director.
He will take up his appointment on June 10th, he will also become a member of the audit, nominations, and remuneration committees.
Twitte is currently chief executive of engineering company IMI, where he has spent his entire career, having joined in 1988 as part of the company’s Graduate Engineering scheme. Over the past 35 years he has held increasingly senior roles and led all three of IMI's divisions - Precision Engineering, Critical Engineering and Hydronic Engineering. He was appointed as chief executive in 2019. He is also a non-executive director at Halma, that operates in the safety, environmental and healthcare sectors.
Ashtead chairman Paul Walker said: "We are delighted to welcome Roy to the Ashtead board. Roy brings a wealth of PLC experience and expertise which will further strengthen the Ashtead board as the business commences its next strategic plan."
