Malaysian oil & gas solutions company Coastal International Marine has ordered a 100 tonne Huisman electric deepwater knuckle boom crane.
The crane is capable of lifting 100 tonne/metre at a 15 metre radius with a maximum radius of 30 metres. It will be equipped with Huisaman’s secondary controlled hydraulics along with the latest HMC 05c remote controls and an option to integrate Huisman’s patented fibre rope subsea deployment system.
Alice Ng, director of Coastal International said: “We are delighted to have selected Huisman to provide us with the crane for our fast track project. Given its track record we are confident that the crane will be delivered on time and will be of the best design and quality. We hope to have future opportunities to work with them again.”
Huisman commercial director Timon Ligterink added: “We are grateful for Costal International Marine’s trust and confidence in us for this order. Since introducing our improved and competitive Knuckle boom cranes, we have had productive discussions, and we are delighted to welcome them as a new client.”
Established in the Netherlands in 1929, Huisman began as a steel construction company. Over time, it transformed into heavy lift and offshore equipment design and manufacture. In the 1960s, the company shifted its focus to developing crane and lifting solutions for offshore and heavy lifting purposes. Today, the company employs over 2,500 worldwide.
