Grove duo for Spain

Spanish crane and aerial lift rental company Grúas del Vallés has taken delivery of two more 60 tonne GMK3060L-1 All Terrain cranes, bringing the total in its fleet to three.

The company took delivery of its first GMK3060L-1 in 2022 and has purchased two more based on its performance. The three axle crane features a seven section 48 metre main boom plus an 8.7 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum on board tip height of 65 metres. The crane can also travel with up to 7.5 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loadings.

Grúas del Vallés works on residential and industrial projects on jobs such as erecting and disassembling tower cranes, mounting air conditioning units, or providing general lifting in tight spaces.

Grúas del Vallés manager, Marc Gelabert said: “We really like Grove's GMK3060L-1. Its compact dimensions, long boom, 15 metre bi-fold swingaway, and Megatrak suspension are outstanding features . Based Northeast of Barcelona, Grúas del Vallés was founded in 1968 by Jordi Gelabert Jaurés with 15 tonne mobile hydraulic crane, he was joined in 1973 by Juan Pratginestós Congost with the current name adopted in 1979. Today it runs a fleet of 35 cranes, with around 45 employees. Five of the cranes are over 200 tonnes, topped by a 500 tonne Liebherr, with the rest being All Terrains, and a mobile self-erecting tower crane. It also has several large truck mounted loader cranes in its fleet.
