Manitowoc has appointed VA Techsys as an official distributor for Grove All Terrain and Rough Terrain cranes in Thailand.

Based in Bangkok, VA Techsys was established in 2022 as a subsidiary of SB Siam, Manitowoc’s Potain dealer in Thailand since 2009. It will handle sales and after sales support for Grove cranes, and hold a stock of Grove spare parts at its Bangkok warehouse. VA Techsys staff have already completed the Grove Service Technicians training module in preparation for taking on the line.

Parent company SB Siam was founded in 2005 by Somsak Bunchorntavakul, formerly general manager of the construction equipment division of Teo Hong Silom, the Thai dealer for Potain in Thailand until 2004. Bunchorntavakul left Teo Hong Silom in 2005 to set up SB Siam, and was appointed as a sales agent for Potain shortly thereafter, becoming the official distributor in 2009.
