Potain firms up Thai distribution

Bangkok based SB Siam has been appointed as sole authorised dealer for Potain top-slewing and self-erecting tower cranes in Thailand. The majority of the cranes will be supplied from the Manitowoc plant in Zhangjiagang, China, but some models will also come from the company’s facilities in India and Europe.

SB Siam was founded in 2005 by managing director Somsak Bunchorntavakul, formerly general manager of the construction equipment division of Teo Hong Silom, the previous dealer for Potain in Thailand, representing the brand until 2004. Bunchorntavakul left Teo Hong Silom in 2005 and established SB Siam, becoming a sales agent for Potain shortly thereafter.
