First new Jekko

German crane rental company Schwarze ASC has taken delivery of the first of the updated second generation 15 tonne Jekko JF545.2 articulated spider crane. See: Gen two Jekko - JF545.2
The JF 545.2 CDH offers a maximum tip height of 32.5 metres at which point it has a capacity of up to 450kg which it can also handle at its maximum radius of 30 metres. The new unit is diesel powered but can also be plugged in for quiet emission free operation when required.

Managing director Nina Schwarze said: "The decision to buy the Jekko JF545.2 was easy for us, Jekko's excellently developed service network gives us the security of being ready for use at any time. The crane impresses with its flexibility - it masters operations in the tightest of spaces, both indoors and outdoors. For us, maximum efficiency, precision, CO²-free crane work and reliability are also important - and that's exactly what this crane offers." The crane was purchased though Jekko distributor Nordkran.

Based in Garbsen, near Hanover, Schwarze ASC was founded in 1952 by Walter Schwarze senior and purchased its first mobile crane in 1964. Second generation took over in 1978 in the form of Walter Schwarze junior, with Nina Schwarze joining the business in 2004, a third generation to work at the company. Today the company runs a fleet of All Terrains and self-erecting mobile tower cranes from three locations in the region - Garbsen, Hanover and Braunschweig - alongside specialised models such as the new Jekko, as well as a transport fleet and logistics service.
