German rental company Auto Kurz has taken delivery of a 70 tonne Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 All Terrain, replacing a five year old 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2.
The four axle LTM 1070-4.2 has a 50 metre main boom and a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. Features include Liebherr’s VarioBase and ECOmode systems and its LICCON2 controller. It can carry its swingaway and 10.7 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loads, or 3.8 tonnes with 10 tonne axle loads.
Managing director Johannes Daume said: "A 70 tonner fits very well into our portfolio, as it closes the gap between our large loader cranes and our mobile cranes in the 90 to 120 tonnne class. The LTM 1070-4.2 is a mature product and enjoys a very good reputation. Its ease of operation and innovative technology such as VarioBase round off the crane perfectly."
Auto Kurz is based in North Hesse, central Germany and runs a fleet of mobile and loader cranes between 70 and 120 tonnes.
