More Liebherrs for Henneberger

German rental company Henneberger Schwerlast has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.3 All Terrain, whichtakes over as its flagship crane.

The six axle LTM 1300-6.3 features an eight section, 90 metre main boom topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension to which two seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a tip height of 121 metres. Alternatively, a 43 metre lattice extension takes the tip height to 126 metres.
On its first job, Henneberger’s new LTM 1300-6.3 installed a transformer station in a solar park in Eisenach

The crane will be used for a wide range of tasks, including tower crane assembly, electricity pylons, antennae installation, and wind turbine maintenance. Its first assignment was at a solar park in Eisenach, where it was used to install a 40 tonne transformer station at a radius of 17 metres.

Mario Henneberger, second generation owner of the family run business said: “With the LTM 1300-6.3, we are moving into the large telescopic mobile crane market. In our region, we are seeing higher demand for more lifting capacity and height. The Liebherr 300 tonner is a multi-function crane with long boom that we are able to use for all manner of jobs.”

“In our local glass and bottle production industry in particular, the new crane allows us to achieve long radii working over buildings and reach tremendous height on the chimneys.”

Founded in 1991 and based in Themar, southern Thuringia, Henneberger Schwerlast operates a fleet entirely made up of Liebherr cranes.
