JLG European leadership changes

JLG has announced the details of the management changes within its European, Middle East, Africa and India region leadership team. They are as follows:

Jonathan Dawson, currently managing director of the Power Towers business in the UK, moves to the position of general manager for ‘verticals and strategy’ across the region. In this new role, his responsibilities will include business development, mergers & acquisitions, service, and marketing, as well as heading up the regional teams covering ‘Verticals’ which one assumes are the mast related and push around products.

Dawson joined JLG from Merlo in 2006, to head up the European telehandler business as director sales and customer support - telehandlers. In 2010 he was promoted to senior director sales and customer support for the regional distribution network and took over at Power Towers in 2019.

Ian Hume takes over as general manager for regional sales operations, with responsibility for all JLG sales staff and activities. Hume joined JLG in April 2017 from Climax Portable Machining and welding systems, where he was a key account manager. Prior to that he spent around five years with Manlift in Dubai, starting out as commercial assistant in 2009 and ending up as sales manager before leaving in early 2016 for Climax.

Amadeus Bissot currently general manager aftermarket, will take over responsibility for aftermarket parts, with responsibility for replacement parts operations and sales in the region. He joined the company from Halliburton in 2015 as continuous improvement lead and has held a number of sales and operational roles since then. He began his career in 2009 as a data analyst with Thomson Reuters leaving in 2012 for Swiss banking group UBS as to work on finance processes, moving to Halliburton eight months later.

Regional vice president Rogerio Dos Santos, who moved into his current role at the end of last year last year, said: “These leadership changes reflect JLG’s commitment to building a strong, agile organisation that is well equipped to achieve ambitious goals across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India. I am confident this team will drive our strategy forward and deliver exceptional value for our customers and stakeholders.”
