New CEO for CEA

The Construction Equipment Association (CEA) has promoted director of operations Viki Bell to chief executive.

She joined the company in her current role last year and has and has helped cover the CEO role since Suneeta Johal left suddenly last year, and the company went through its recruitment process.
Viki Bell

Bell began her career in 1998 as a marketing manager with Leica Microsystems, moving to a similar role at Shanks waste management after two years. Over the next 20 years she held similar roles with Sirva Relocation, Cranfield University, Barnfield College, Adessi, BSI, Semta, IET, Eland Cables, Personal Group and now the CEA.

CEA executive board chairman Paul Ross said: “Viki's appointment is the result of a year of outstanding leadership in her role as director of operations. She has demonstrated a clear vision for the association - one that is grounded in professionalism, transparency, and delivery. Her ability to restructure and refocus the CEA without losing sight of the day to day needs of our members has been exceptional.”

Bell added: “I am delighted to be taking on the role of chief executive. The past year has been exciting - not only in terms of what we've achieved behind the scenes but in the energy and momentum we've built. I've also been hugely encouraged by the support of our members, industry partners, and other associations - as well as the backing of the trade press - which continues to shine a light on the important work being done across the sector.”
