Bernhard Kahn joins Imer

Italian equipment manufacturer Imer has appointed Bernhard Kahn as sales and business development manager for its Access and Equipment divisions in Germany and Austria. He joins the company from Klubb owned distributror Hematec Arbeitsbühnen where was sales and marketing director until last months.

Kahn started out in the lifting industry in 1995 as a self employed aerial work platform service engineer, moving to Skyjack four years later as sales manager. After three years with the company, he moved to Genie Germany as sales manager. In 2008 he took on a similar role with Terex before being promoted to sales director in 2012, a role he held for three years. In 2015, he left to join Snorkel as a project manager, and its wholly owned distributor Ahern Deutschland. He made the move to Hematec last june, ledaving at the end of the year.

Chief executive Paolo Salvadori said: "We are thrilled to have secured an experienced manager like Bernhard Kahn to further develop the important German-speaking market in the centre of Europe."

Access division commercial director Matteo Lori added: "I look forward to working with Bernhard Kahn, who is known in the industry for his experience and extensive network."

The Imer Group operates five production facilities - four in Italy and one in Turkey - and employs more than 700 people across its four divisions: Equipment, Access, Concrete and Kato Imer earthmoving equipment.
