group product manager for AXCS

Turkish owned aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer AXCS equipment, which incorporates ELS booms and scissors, Hy-brid low level platforms and MTS telehandlers, has appointed Paul Michaels as group product manager.

One of his primary responsibilities will be to work on the development rationalisation and deployment of the company’s diverse product lines which includes scissor lifts, mast booms, low level lifts, mast lifts, articulated booms and telehandlers, as well as develop new models.

Michaels joined the company a while ago from Briggs & Stratton where he spent almost two years in its commercial lawn mower division. He began his career in 2005 with power transmission company Rexnord, working in various product management roles, before leaving in 2018 for Johnson Controls where he was appointed as senior product manager for its Smart HVAC systems. After two years with the company, he moved to Enerpac to take up a marketing management position, leaving in 2023 for briggs & Stratton.

AXCS chief executive Eric Liner said: "Paul’s established record of enhancing brands will be a great asset to the AXCS Equipment and will directly benefit our customers. His strategic approach to product management will be valuable in growing our new brand identity and our expanding product offering. There are big happenings on the horizon for AXCS Equipment and Paul’s role will be largely connected to helping shape our future."

Michaels added: “AXCS Equipment has an amazing growth outlook, with plans to add a significant number of new aerial lift products in the coming years. Safety and quality are two of our core principles and that will be a primary focus as we roll out these new products. We want to ensure that not only can customers safely use our products, but that they’re also benefiting from equipment that provides world class quality.”
