French crane and aerial lift rental company Foselev has taken delivery of an 80 tonne Grove GMK4080L All Terrain crane, replacing an older GMK4080-1 in its fleet.
The unit in its new livery
The four axle GMK4080L has a 60 metre, seven section main boom with an optional 8.7 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 40 degrees of offset and manual or hydraulic luffing, for a maximum tip height of 78 metres. It can carry up to 13.3 tonnes of its 19.1 tonne counterweight within 12 tonnes axle limits or achieve 10 tonnes axle loads with 5.2 tonnes of counterweight.
Immediately after it was delivered, the crane travelled from its home base in Nancy to Martigues in southern France to support maintenance work on a chemical site.

Foselev equipment director Brice Bonnefoy said: “We chose the Grove GMK4080L because of its 60 metre main boom and its excellent taxi crane characteristics, which make it particularly efficient and flexible in use. In addition, the compact support base allows us to use it as a replacement for smaller cranes when necessary.”
Founded in 1976 and based in Aix en Provence in Southern France, Foselev operates within the construction, industrial, nuclear and energy sectors in France and internationally. The company runs one of Europe’s largest crane fleets at 450 units, around 100 of which are Groves.
