Sweden's Kranpunkten is adding 50 new boom lifts to its rental fleet with working heights ranging from 20 to 45 metres.
The lifts include both electric and large diesel models, predominantly from JLG, that are modified to run on HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel. Deliveries began earlier this month and are scheduled to run through March next year.

Kranpunkten purchasing manager Rikard Jönsson said: "We continue to update our fleet with modern machines and the latest technology. This investment strengthens our offering and ensures that our customers have access to the most efficient solutions on the market. We may also be seeing early signs that the market is beginning to move in the right direction."

Based in Båstad, southern Sweden, Kranpunkten was established in 1989 in Förslöv between Gothenburg and Malmö. It now runs a fleet of more than 4,200 units, mostly aerial work platforms, including booms, scissor lifts, mast type lifts, trailer lifts, truck mounts and mastclimbers, along with telehandlers and wheeled loaders, from nine locations with around 110 employees. Today, 85 percent of the units in its fleet are already either electric or hybrid powered. Its boom lift fleet includes models from Niftylift, Dingli, Genie and JLG, topped by a 185ft telescopic with a 58 metre working height.
