JLG has appointed Jonathan Dawson as vice president, International, one of the recently announced new regions. He will move into the job, a new role for the company, at the start of the new year.
His responsibilities will include leading one of the three new ‘Regions’, the Americas, Europe and International. International will include Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India and the Middle East. The company says that the move is aimed at creating “a new global structure designed to accelerate growth and strengthen operational and commercial capabilities worldwide.”

In his new role, Dawson will report to company president Mahesh Narang and join JLG’s executive leadership team.
Narang said: “Jonathan’s track record of driving growth, navigating complex markets and building high performing teams makes him the right leader to advance our International region. This structure positions us to meet our customers where they are and deliver sustained, profitable growth.”
Dawson joined JLG from Merlo in 2006, initially to head up the European telehandler business as director of sales and customer support- telehandlers. In 2010, he was promoted to senior director of sales and customer support for the regional distribution network, and in 2013 took over made responsibility for sales throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2019, he was appointed managing director of the Power Towers subsidiary, which JLG had acquired in June 2015. In February of this year, he was made general manager for ‘verticals and strategy’.
