A letter to customers last week said: “Following the acquisition of Hüffermann by the Hagedorn Group, the heavy lift and crane logistics activities within the group will be organisationally consolidated and further developed,” the company announced in a letter to customers.

The letter goes on to say that operations will remain “unchanged, stable, and reliable.” There will be no changes to ongoing projects, existing contacts, or agreed services.”

“As part of this development, the former Hüffermann group companies will be gradually integrated into clearly structured units. The Hüffermann brand will be discontinued.”

“Our goal is to effectively combine existing expertise, simplify structures, and create a consistently efficient and reliable framework for customers. The future organisational structure and the allocation of individual companies can be seen in the chart below.”

Jens Hofmann head of Hagedorn’s demolition division, added: “As part of a nationwide network for heavy haul and crane logistics, we, together with Wasel, a leading provider of crane and lifting technology, have a comprehensive presence throughout Germany as well as expanded technical and personnel capacities.”

The letter concludes by stating that it will provide information regarding the specific allocation to the newly founded companies and formal adjustments, such as company names or invoicing details in due course.

Hagedorn was established in 1997 by Thomas Hagedorn, and is based in Gütersloh near Bielefeld, with locations in Berlin, Hanover and Cologne. Ownership remains with the family, with the company headed by Barbara and Thomas Hagedorn. In the past five years, growth has been explosive, and today the company employs more than 2,000 and has revenues of more than €500 million.
