The UK tool and general equipment rental show – the Executive Hire Show was held last week in Coventry. The two day even got off to a good start, with a good number of new exhibitors.
The following are just a few of the highlights from the show:
•Access Platform Sales – representing Hinowa, JLG, Niftylift, Wienold and ToughLift, displayed number of machines including the new JLG Liftpod low level folding platform range with working heights to 3.8 metres.

•JLG also had its own stand with two low level Nano 30CS and Nano 35, along with the 550 platform for ceiling tile access. It also showed a number of scissor lift attachments including the board and pipe carriers and tool tethering attachments.

• Avant Tecno showed its latest spider lifts with the Leguan 135 Neo with 13.4 metres working height inside and the 19.5 metre Leguan 195 in the outside area of the show.

Avant also featured its TiTemp Cube100 Mobile Power Unit – part of the Avant e500 series of mobile energy and charging products for electric machinery.
• GGR had a good display of equipment, including its Unic spider cranes and Galizia pick & carry models, along with the Gantarud load turning and levelling device, glazing robots, vacuum lifter and AlmaCrawler tracked carriers.

• Hird had the 17 metre Oil&Steel Octopus 17 spiderlift, along with the Winlet 785 glazing robot and vacuum lifters.
This was also the first event for its new area sales manager Liam Buckley.

• JCB had range of small general rental equipment on the stand, along with a 19ft S1932E electric slab scissor lift and a G60RSH hydrogen generator.

• The LGMG stand was busy with the launch of the all new H1840 electric telehandler plus a good selection of platforms, including scissors and mast lift, and the new A14JE-2 lithium ion battery powered boom lift.

• Navigator Lifts under new ownership since last year, displayed two of its low level platforms.

• NiftyLift highlighted its Gen 3 - third generation HR12N – narrow aisle 33ft boom lift, that it unveiled last summer.

• Sany showed a new 6m/2,500kg compact telehandler – the STH1625, with a choice of all electric or diesel power.

• Liebherr displayed its all new Liduro Power Port LPO 100, lithium-ion trailer-mountable mobile energy storage unit, ideal for topping up electric machines off grid.
