French crane rental company Adekma has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Tadano AC 7.450-1 All Terrain crane.
The new crane is handed over
The seven axle AC 7.450-1 features a seven section 80 metre main boom and can also be equipped with extensions up to 59 metres for a 130 metre tip height, 56 metres of combined extension and fixed offset jib for a 133 metre tip height, or an 81 metre luffing jib combined with the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system for a similar tip height. The maximum counterweight is 150 tonnes.

The crane will join the company’s heavy lift division, Adkema, and will primarily be employed on wind turbine maintenance, industrial installation projects, as well as tower crane installation/dismantling.
Adekma managing director, Frédéric Blais, said: “For us, this investment is about reinforcing our ability to support customers on major projects. The AC 7.450-1 combines compact dimensions with a strong lifting performance, which is particularly important for the demanding operations handled by our Adekmax division.”
Founded in 2004, Adkema is based in Le Mans, and operates from 10 locations in France, with around 300 employees with a rental and transport fleet of around 500 units, including 100 mobile cranes up to 700 tonnes, ranging from Valla pick & carry cranes, to loader cranes, mobile self erecting tower cranes and gantry cranes, along with heavy rigging and shifting gear.
