German crane rental company Steil Kranarbeiten has taken delivery of four Tadano All Terrain cranes - two 80 tonne AC 4.080-1’s, one 220 tonne AC 5.220-1, and a 220 tonne AC 5.220L-1.

Two of the cranes will be based in Trier, one in Saarwellingen and one mainly working on wind energy projects. The Trier cranes are the AC 4.080-1, bought as a general all-rounder to replace and older ATF 70, and the AC 5.220L-1. The second AC 4.080-1 was delivered to Saarwellingen, where it will be used as a taxi crane. The AC 5.220-1, is mainly intended for work in the wind energy sector.

The handover of the 220t AC 5.220-1
Steil is based in Trier with four depots across Germany, plus one in Luxembourg and runs a fleet of 115 cranes up to 1,000 tonnes, with 300 employees. The group operates throughout Europe in the wind power industry and provides industrial moving, heavy haulage, recovery, and towing, as well as oil spill removal services.
