Skyjack has appointed two new territory managers to its North American sales team: Steve De La Torre for Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, along with Brian Wesley for Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and West Tennessee.
Steve La Torre joined the company this month after almost a year as a key account sales manager with LGMG, North America. He began his access related career 20 years ago when he joined rental company RSC as a salesman. Moving in 2012 to Caterpillar dealer Empire Cat as a rental account manager, leaving after two years for Sunbelt Rentals in Phoenix, where he was a profit centre manager. In 2018, he swapped the rental industry for a regional sales manager’s job at Genie, leaving for Magni America in early 2025, where he was appointed western region sales manager, starting with LGMG eight months later. The territory he takes over was previously covered by Lindsay Stalfort.
Steve La Torre Matt Tavianini, vice president of sales in North America, said: “Steve’s proven experience within the rental equipment and construction service industries in his region is a real asset for customers seeking Skyjack machines and service. I am looking forward to Steve’s impact on Skyjack and our southwestern US markets.”
La Torre added: “Skyjack has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer support across the Southwest. I am eager to connect with and strengthen relationships with Skyjack’s partners and operators in the region and help drive continued growth.”
Brian Wesley joins the company from the Louisiana based rental company he founded in 2021, and still owns, Lagniappe Equipment Rentals. At Skyjack, he takes over from Bob Webb, who is retiring.
Wesley began his career in the summer of 2006 as a sales rep for JPS Equipment – a Volvo Rents store, transferring to Volvo Rents, which was rebranded as BlueLine Rentals in 2014, and acquired by United at the end of 2018. Wesley left the business at that time and was appointed as a regional vice president at Momentum Rental & Sales in Louisiana, starting up Lagniappe just over two years later.
Brian Wesley Matt Tavianini said: “Brian’s experience within the regional rental markets, and with the current customer base, will prove valuable in the transition to Skyjack. With his strong foundation built in equipment rental and customer service, Brian is a great addition to our company, which is known for reliability and innovation.”
Wesley added:“I am thrilled to take on the territory sales manager role with Skyjack. Bob has done a fantastic job with the Southeast markets to date, and I look forward to continuing to build upon that momentum.”
Bob Webb joined Skyjack in 2016, following a career in the construction industry. The company said: “Over the past decade, Bob has been impactful and admirable. We sincerely thank him for the passion and expertise that he brought to the organisation. We at Skyjack are all wishing him and his family a happy and healthy retirement.”
