Zeppelin renews CEO contract

Zeppelin, the German Cat dealer and rental store, has reappointed chief executive Matthias Benz as chairman of the management board for a further five year term..

Benz began his career in 2004 with ZF, starting as chief financial officer of its North American operations and leaving as executive vice president of sales and customer development in 2020. He was then appointed chief executive for fabricated metals manufacturer Neuman Aluminium Industries, leaving four years later for Zeppelin.

He also sits on the supervisory boards of Bertrandt, Pfisterer and Aluminium Deutschland.

Simon Blümcke, chairman of the Zeppelin supervisory board said: “Together with the management, Benz has been important for the strategic development of the Zeppelin group over the past two years. Under his leadership, key initiatives were promoted to make the group clearer, strengthen its competitiveness and further improve the conditions for sustainable growth.”

Benz added: "I am very pleased about the trust of the supervisory board and feel honoured to continue to lead Zeppelin as chief executive in the coming years.”
