UK rental company Bronzeshield has taken delivery of its second 150 tonne Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 All Terrain crane.
The new LTM 1150-5.3
The five axle LTM 1150-5.3 is equipped with a 66 metre, seven section main boom along with the 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets hydraulically by up to 40 degrees. A seven metre insert can be added between the boom nose and extension to take the maximum tip height to almost 95 metres and maximum radius to 72 metres. The new crane not only joins the first LTM 1150-5.3 delivered at the end of last year, but also slots in alongside a 150 tonne Grove GMK5150XL, delivered in 2024.
Founded in 1971 by Bill Frost and is based near Crayford, Kent, on the south east side of London. Frost began the company with an overhead crane and then, in 1976, purchased his first mobile crane. Today, its fleet includes All Terrains up to 500 tonnes, spider cranes and Spierings mobile self-erecting tower cranes. It also has depots in Bromsgrove, near Birmingham and Norwich in East Anglia.
