Crane driver arrested

The authorities in Dubai have arrested three employees of Wade Adams Contracting Company, employed on the Dubai Marina project following this week’s accident.

The three include the 47 year old operator of the crane that is said to have struck the bridge, a 37 year old slinger-signaler and a 39 year old engineer.

The case is likely to be referred to Public Prosecution this weekend with all three facing charges of manslaughter and negligence causing injuries to people.
