Link-Belt to challenge anti-dumping tariffs

Link-Belt Cranes says that it will challenge the Anti Dumping determination at U.S. Court of International Trade and issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s imposition of 20 percent tariffs on imports of Link-Belt/Sumitomo lattice boom crawler cranes and assemblies from Japan. “The Commerce Department’s analysis contains significant errors and runs afoul of the law. Link-Belt intends to challenge the U.S. Department of Commerce’s final anti-dumping determination concerning lattice boom crawler cranes at the U.S. Court of International Trade.”

“We wish to emphasise to our customers, partners, and stakeholders that while the anti-dumping duties are currently in effect, they remain subject to judicial review. If we are successful in our challenge before the Court of International Trade, we will be entitled to seek refunds of any cash deposits paid to Customs. We strongly dispute the determination and believe it is not supported by the facts or applicable law.£”
