UK crane rental company NMT Crane Hire has appointed Dan Carter as sales director. He joins the company after six years with Ainscough Crane Hire, where he was major projects lead for the south.
Carter began his career in November 2014 as a cashier with Allied Irish Bank before moving into the access industry in May 2015 as a sales consultant with HSS Hire. That September, he joined the Gap group as an area sales support representative and worked his way up to national major account manager. He left for Ainscough in 2020, initially as sales manager for the south east and HS2, a role he held for two and a half years before taking up his most recent position in 2022.
Dan Carter Carter said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as sales director at NMT with exciting times ahead for myself and NMT - thank you to James Ambridge and Gerry White of NMT for this opportunity.”
The company added: "Dan brings with him considerable experience within the crane industry, particularly across major projects, key account management and business development. His appointment reflects our continued commitment to serving our customers with clarity, discipline, and long-term partnerships."
Based in Bedford and founded in 1976, NMT runs a fleet of cranes ranging from 40 to 500 tonnes and, in addition to the regular construction and industrial work, has built a strong reputation in the film and television industry.
