The company says that while it is positive about 2008, long lead times at some manufacturers could make it difficult for it to exceed its 2007 result, although it remains optimistic for yet another record year.

Manfred Rothlehner founded the company in 1976 which is best known as Denka lifts most successful dealer, but in the 1990’s it looked as though the days were numbered for independent distributors like Rothlehner. However it adapted and expanded into the developing markets of Central Europe, later it launched its service operation Lift-Manager.

In recent years it has taken on the Falck Schmidt range of atrium lifts following its merger with Denka into World lift, added GSR truck mounts and formed an equity relationship with PB Liftechnik the long established scissor and boom lift manufacturer.

Manfred Rothlehner, founder of Rothlehner Arbeitsbühnen said: “Through adapting to market changes in time, founding subsidiaries in neighbouring countries, splitting up our business fields we have succeeded in bucking the trend away from dealers.”

“We are used to have a very open and honest business culture with employees, partners, suppliers and financiers. Our customers trust us and it seems they appreciate the services we provide and our continuity.”

“The close connection with PB Lifttechnik provides another sales potential. In 2008 we will strengthen this alliance by establishing branch offices for sales and service at the site of PB in Oberbechingen, near Dillingen,” adds Rothlehner.
