Bartley joined Genie Industries in 2000 as a field service representative and quickly moved up to western regional service manager. Prior to joining Genie, he spent 23 years as service manager for Adco Equipment and United Rentals.

Adco was one of the largest independent aerial lift dealers in California until United Rentals purchased it 1998. In his new role, Bartley will oversee both field and factory service organisations for Terex AWP.

Bruce Taber, senior director of quality and after market support for Terex AWP said: “Bob’s extensive industry experience, leadership skills and knowledge of our business are valuable assets to provide the best service to our customers.”

“He already has high respect from within the organisation and with our customers so he is a natural fit for this role as we always aim to provide the most customer-focused service available.”

Bartley adds: “When our customers do business with us, they get much more than a piece of equipment. We understand our customers’ business and we are committed to their success. My goal is to make our service organisation the most responsive and the easiest with which to do business in the industry.”
