The company says that the erection process has been significantly simplified – from the assembly of the stabilizer base to the positioning of the counterweights and the faster assembly of the TS23 tower components.

The addition of railings and non-slip metal plates in the access and cab areas, together with aluminum ladders increase the crane operator’s safety and comfort.

New electronics include a new touchscreen with graphical interface and new Integrated Control System (ICS) software, increasing the ease, speed and precision of operation.
Additional control functions mean that information about the machine’s operating status is always available.

The Terex Business System - based on the Japanese continual improvement philosophy Kaizen - has been rapidly integrated into the company culture. Martina Moritsch, general manager of Terex Comedil believes this is an important step in enabling the company to focus even more purposefully on the requirements of international clients.

Steve Filipov, President of Terex Cranes, said at the launch: “Our common goal is to process customer enquiries even faster and, within the context of product development, to pursue ideas for maximum safety and the simplest possible assembly and logistics.”

"The first results show just how serious the company is about this turnaround: a new spare parts and logistics centre in Fontanafredda, Italy is nearing completion and will commence operations in 2008."
