Lavendon up 37 percent

The Lavendon Group, the world’s largest specialist aerial lift rental company, has indicated that revenues for its first five months to the end of May are up 37 percent and in line with expectations.

It says that UK revenues for the five months increased 30 percent with healthy operating margins, while the recently acquired Platform Company has been performing in line with its expectations.

German revenues declined by four percent due, it says, to the merging of its Zooom and Gardemann business units, but this translated into a five percent increase when converted into sterling.

Revenues in France and Belgium increased by 307 percent due to the acquisition of DK Rental in December 2007 which also boosted Spanish revenues by 175 percent. The Middle East grew by 13 percent, with underlying rental revenues increasing by 33 percent.
