Two die in Japan as platform tips

Two men, one 52 and the other 46, died yesterday when an aerial lift tipped over in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

The men were reportedly 12 metres up, repainting supporting posts of a roller coaster at the Himeji park when the accident occurred.

The men were taken to hospital with head injuries form which they later died.

Police are investigating the incident and we have been unable to obtain further details of the type of lift and what might have caused the tip over.
