Crane collapse in Kuala Lumpur

A tower crane is reported to have ‘snapped’ on a high rise construction in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia killing a construction worker.

The crane was lifting concrete to 30th floor of an apartment block when the crane collapsed. Local reports say that it “snapped”. The falling crane landed on Saprawi Muhammad, 50, causing serious injuries that resulted in his death on site.

Saprawi was working alongside 20 other men on the 29th floor of the building when the accident occured.
