A regular reader stopped on the road yesterday when he spotted a telehandler fitted with a work platform working with its rear end blocking one lane of a busy highway, with no apparent effort to cordon it off, putting the man in the platform at considerable risk. Please register to see all images

Look at that rear end and lack of any cordoning off

A close look at the photos suggests that the man in the cage is at least wearing a harness with lanyard attached.

As he took the photos two young girls walking along the pavement (sidewalk) found their progress blocked, naturally they found their way around the machine ....

They find their way around, as a bus whistles past

But only by stepping into the path of an oncoming bus!

The contractor on this site is Frank Rodgers, which is building 24 apartments for the Liverpool Housing Trust.
