New employment rules take effect April 6th
The Department for Trade and Industry will from now on make a statement early in each year which will highlight all of the changes in Employment law that they plan to introduce for the year, this includes the national minimum wage rates.
All changes will come into force on two fixed dates every year, April sixth, the start of the new tax year in the UK and October first the Minimum wage review date.
On April sixth changes include Revised rules for minimum wage, and revised rates for Maternity and Paternity leave.
