JLG telehandlers for Iraq

JLG has received a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) order from the U.S. Army’s Tank-automotive Armaments Command (TACOM) for 54 G6-23A telehandlers. Valued at $3.6 million with delivery scheduled to begin in August.

The 54 units are all destined for Iraq to support the Iraqi military in construction, rebuild and material handling applications. The G6-23A has a maximum lifting capacity of 6,600 lb (2,994 kg) and a maximum lifting height of 23 feet (6.88 m).

A JLG G6-23A telehandler


This is the latest order under a 2006 contract with TACOM for JLG telehandlers. It brings the total value of the contract to $26 million and 386 units, all of which are working in the field for the Afghan and Iraqi governments.


JLG will manufacture the telehandlers for this order in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania.
