Intermat opens today

Intermat opens its gates today with a surprisingly well attended show, although some key names in the crane and access field are notably absent.

The Vertikal Team is out in force to both distribute the Vertikal Guide to the show and report on the new products and atmosphere of the three yearly event. If you are planning to attend the event please don’t forget to stop by and see us, our stand is in the outside area E5 D 008 right in the middle of all of the crane and access exhibits.

With a large part of the Vertikal Team at the show, our regular internet coverage may be a little slow this week, but we will make up for it with all the feedback and information we bring back.

In the meantime as the team left the show build up today we spotted a man installing flags on a crane boom.

Do you see him?

Zooming it was clear that he was wearing some form of harness, but whether it would help much is debatable. With so many powered platforms on site, many of which would easily reach the heights he was working at, it is a shame that he felt that climbing the inclined struts was the only way to do the job.
