New telehandler from Redrock
Northern Ireland based Redrock Engineering has introduced a new three tonne capacity pivot steer telehandler. The TH320 replaces the TH280S model, originally launched in 2004.
The TH320 is a completely new machine designed from the ground up following some extensive market research and customer input, says the company. The result is a telehandler that offers improved performance, operator comfort and serviceability.
The TH320 has been designed with the agricultural market in mind, with a short central front mounted boom with provides a maximum 5.2 metre lift height, 3.2 metres of outreach and 3,000 kgs lift capacity.

The new tilting cab features increased operator headroom while not increasing the overall height of the machine, an improved air conditioning system, a quieter operator environment, an improved control layout and better visibility, particularly to the rear which has been achieved by the clever engine layout, allowing the cover to be sharply raked to maximise the operator’s rear vision.
The rear mounted engine cover lifts clear to reveal all the main engine components within easy reach thanks to the positioning of the radiator behind the engine. All fuses and primary electrical connections are housed in a single location. Access to the hydraulic pumps and transmission is achieved by tilting the cab to one side.
The TH320 uses an Iveco 93kw/126hp engine, driving through an up-rated torque converter and six -speed power shift transmission to upgraded axles with inboard brakes and a limited slip differential on 10 stud hubs. Top speed is 40km/h.
has a maximum lift height of 5.2m, a forward reach of 1.6m at maximum lift height, and a horizontal maximum forward reach of 3.2m.
A range of Redrock attachments include pallet forks, sweepers/collectors, buckets, shear grabs, shear buckets, buckets, silage rakes, push-off buck rakes and silo grips. Although primarily intended for agricultural applications, Redrock telehandlers are increasingly popular in the recycling and waste handling sector, as well as for other industrial tasks.
The TH320 joins the 5.8 metre, 5,000kgs TH500 model in the Redrock telehandler line-up. It is currently undergoing pre-production testing and will be available later this year.
Redrock engineering general manager, Seamus Murchan, said: “We have extensive experience of designing and manufacturing rugged high quality telehandlers for the agricultural industry. The TH320 has many significant improvements in reliability, performance and operator comfort, with excellent all-round visibility, and is smooth, economic and efficient in operation”.
Design engineer, James Fegan added: “The TH320 has been designed following an extensive research and development programme and is part of our ongoing new model development initiative. Modern technology, end user requests and our own experience gained in the articulated telehandler market have been brought together to create a class leading machine.”
Redrock was founded by managing director Sam Hughes in 1976 and now claims to be the largest agricultural equipment manufacturer in Northern Ireland.
