Crane tips in Edmonton
A mobile crane toppled over on Saturday morning in Edmonton Canada, closing Quesnell Bridge the city’s busiest bridge.
The crane, a Grove owned by Canada Crane, was lifting reinforcing bars when it went over. The operator is said the have only received minor injuries and the crane was removed during the days, allowing the bridge to re-open.

The fallen crane
Workplace Health & Safety said the the crane was overload and has insisted that the main contractor – Concrete USL - conduct a full investigation into the cause of the accident. Meanwhile it has placed a series of orders on Canada crane which it has to meet before resuming lifting duties on the bridge.
