Crane left hanging
An industrial pick & carry mini crane was left dangling from a building on a Calgary building site in Canada this weekend,
The crane, was lifting a glass panel into place on Saturday when something went wrong, local reports say the cranes hoist failed dropping the panel around six metres pulling the crane from the third storey of the building that it was working from. It then swung into the windows below and was left suspended from its boom.

The crane operator was miraculously unhurt.
The main contractor on the Bow Complex site - Matthews Developments, said that its safety procedures had worked as planned.
The statement added: "Tethering prevented the crane from falling, and no injuries were sustained. Repairs to the equipment will be made quickly, and Matthews will assist Alberta Occupational Safety and Health in its required investigation."
