Mace opts for on-site hire facility

Construction and consultancy group, Mace, has entered into a preferred supplier agreement with Speedy to provide an on-site hire facility at the Shard development in London - set to become Europe's tallest building at 310 metres.

Speedy - the UK’s largest tool and equipment rental company - will be preferred supplier for a range of tools, equipment and training. The building, currently under construction, is scheduled for completion in 2012.

David Graham, managing director, UK Hire at Speedy said: “With an on-site facility, we can provide a whole range of services - including hire, training, repairs and servicing – from one central location. We have on-site facilities at numerous high profile locations throughout the country providing immediate access to the right equipment in position, bringing substantial ‘green’ and productivity benefits."
